4th-july
4th of July Embroidery Design, Instant Download

Stacked 4TH OF JULY type framed with stars and burst lines, three colours of pure backyard bbq energy. Navy block 4th numerals sit at the top of a half-circle arc, the th sits up small in superscript like a real proper date. A tiny navy of nestles between the 4 and the rest. Then a fat candy-red July script swoops along the bottom in a brushy cursive with a long curling tail that loops above the J letter. Around the whole word block, alternating red and navy filled five-point stars form a firework-burst wreath that arcs across the top half of the design.

Last june one customer wanted the 5-inch hoop run for her american-flag tee inventory before independence day. She runs a small etsy shop selling patriotic apparel, said she stitched 30 of em on white cotton tees and sold out the first day, dont know if she was overstating but the photo evidence backed it up. The simple three-colour palette is what makes it move so fast aswell, white red navy youre always gonna recognise as universal patriotic shorthand.

I designed the star wreath open and airy, the stars float instead of locking into a tight ring, gives the firework explosion feel. The tail loop above the J in July is a single continuous run-stitch path so the cursive flows clean. Three colour stops only, all simple, the file runs fast even on basic single-needle home machines, theres no fancy density work to slow it down.

Run on white, cream or light blue cotton, ya want a pale background so the navy and red star wreath holds shape. Skip white-on-navy too aswell, one colour vanishes either way. Pop the small 3.51-inch on a kids patriotic cotton tee front. Drop the largest 7.51 onto a backyard bbq apron, run the medium hoop on a tote bag for a 4th of july parade. One color stays out of mix. Just navy red and white.

Densest stretches are the chunky navy block numbers and the red script swoop. Hoop on medium-weight cutaway stabiliser. Slip in a 70/10 needle so the inner counters of the 4 and the J loop dont pucker. Float a tear-away topper if youre running on terry or fleece, the run-stitch tail is delicate and topper keeps it sitting on top of the pile rather than sinking down between fibers.
