So for the largest size at 5.67 inches you definately want cutaway stabiliser, not tearaway, the stitch density at that scale wont hold on a light tearaway. Hoop it snug, use a topping on knit fabrics so the tatami fill doesnt sink into the loops, and pick a thread colour that gives you real contrast against your base.
