baby-highland-cow-red-bow
Baby Highland Cow with Red Bow Embroidery Design, Instant Download

If youve ever seen a baby highland cow in real life you know theyre already ridiculous looking. This one is sitting front-on with those massive dark eyes taking up way too much of its face, shaggy fur going in about 6 different directions, 2 small horns poking up, and a big red bow sitting right between them. The bow is the kind of oversized accessory that makes no practical sense and looks perfect.

Ten colours build the layered fur effect. The body has warm tan, darker caramel and burnt-brown shading sections with the satin stitching running in different directions on the forehead fur versus the chest versus the sides, which is how you get that dimensional shaggy look without applique. The face has fine black crosshatch outline lines around the muzzle and nostrils that give it that illustration-style realism. The bow has a proper satin fill with highlight direction changes to suggest the fabric fold. People absolutely lose it over this design, I think I sold more of this last christmas than any other single animal design in the shop.

80k stitches on the 7-in max size. Thats a dense design. Use heavy cutaway stabiliser, no exceptions. Hoop tight. Use topping film on any fleece or terry base so the fur stitches sit on top of the pile not sink into it. Skip tear-away entirely on this one. The detail rewards proper stabilising and will look slightly off if you cut corners with the backing.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0699/6262/9270/files/BabyHighlandCowwithRedBowMachineEmbroideryDesign.png?v=1762244355
