The fur texture is the whole trick here, professional digitising tools digitised it with tight directional stitching that fans outward from the body centre, so the fur actually reads as fur and not just a lumpy fill. I been tweaking this kind of radiating stitch approach for a while and this one came out right. Density is 664 which is medium-high, the wing sections are lighter to keep em airy.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePeople order this for novelty tees, aprons, kids market bags, and gardening stuff mostly. One customer told me she stitched the 6-inch on a cream linen apron for a honey-selling market stall last summer and people kept stopping to look at it. Stitch on white, cream, oatmeal or pale yellow cotton for best contrast, the orange body really sings on pale grounds. Use a mesh cutaway stabiliser underneath, the density on the big sizes needs solid backing or the bee body can distort on stretchy fabrics. Avoid thin jersey on the largest size aswell because 32k stitches on unstable fabric is gonna pucker.
