colorful-hello-spring-floral
Colorful Hello Spring Floral Embroidery Design, Machine Embroidery Pattern, Instant Download

A crafter in my shop last spring ordered this Hello Spring design for her daughter's classroom and messaged me a few weeks later with a picture, the chunky rainbow lettering stitched onto a navy canvas tote catching the light just right. Its that kind of design. "Hello" arcs across the top in a looping black calligraphy script with a thick satin outline, and below it sits "SPRING" spelled out in big bubble letters, each one its own colour: sky blue, orange, hot pink, teal, orange again, then cobalt blue. Between em, a little garden of tulips and daisies pushes up from the baseline, purple tulips flanking the outsides, coral daisies dotting the middle, and two white daisy heads with bright yellow centres front and centre.

Stitch density sits around 472 stitches per square centimetre so the satin columns on those letters come out really solid and smooth. Pop the mid-range 5.5 inch on a linen tea towel and the flower stems line up right at the seam edge, looks like it grew there. I digitised the calligraphy with extra underlay so the black "Hello" script doesnt sink into thick cotton fleece or jersey, it stays raised and legible. Use a cutaway stabiliser on stretchy fabrics, tearaway works fine on woven canvas or twill. The smallest size at 3.5 inches fits nicely on a kid's shirt pocket or a little zipper pouch, and the colours stay saturated enough that they read well even at that scale.

Honestly my favourite thing about the block letter fill is the tatami angles. Each letter has a directional stitch angle so they all catch the light differently, S tilts one way, P another. Makes the whole word shimmer a bit when you move the finished piece. And the daisy petals got satin stitch rather than a flat fill, so theres real texture contrast between the flowers and the lettering. The colour count is higher than it looks, Im not going to pretend otherwise, but the bobbin thread barely shows because the digitising keeps the underlay tight.

Skip dark fabric for this one if you want the rainbow letters to pop the way they should. White, cream, oatmeal, or a pale sage work best and give the whole composition room to breathe. Try a test hoop on your stabiliser choice first if youre new to multi-colour work, thread swaps are frequent here. Cut your stabiliser a good inch past the hoop ring on all sides and youll get clean registration across every colour change.

Send me a note if the design pulls in at the waist.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0699/6262/9270/files/ColorfulHelloSpringFloralEmbroideryDesign.png?v=1782189239
