colorful-parrot-tropical-flowers
Colorful Parrot Tropical Flowers Embroidery Design, Instant Download

Scarlet macaw sitting in a tropical flower arrangement, and honestly one of the most detailed bird designs I make. The bird has directional satin stitching on the chest feathers, a proper white cheek patch with scored feather detail lines, and those long tail feathers running down in layered red and cobalt blue. The flower surround is cream and pink tropical blooms with deep green palm fronds. Twelve colours total. Density hits 1,020 which is the highest of any design in my range.

At that density you need a solid cutaway stabiliser, full stop. Dont use tearaway on this one. The satin coverage on the red chest area is very dense and a tearaway backing wont hold the fabric steady through that thread volume. Medium-weight cutaway on woven cotton or canvas, heavy cutaway if youre going onto a jacket back or thick canvas bag. Run your machine at 80 percent speed on the chest and wing sections where the density clusters. The colour sequence goes from the background flowers first, then leaves, then the bird body from tail up to face detail last. Run the face stop last so youre not stitching anything else over those eye highlights, theyll go grey otherwise.

Four sizes from 3.37 x 3.5 inches at 23,256 stitches up to 7.21 x 7.5 inches at 55,177 stitches. At the full 7-inch size this is a serious project, plan for two to three hours on a home machine. The 4-inch range works well for tote bag placement and shirt chest pieces where you want something noticeable without it taking over the whole garment. The smallest 3.37-inch still carries the colour well, I use it for cushion corner accents and hat panels.

People have been ordering this one for summer bags, tropical themed wall art panels, and parrot lover gifts since I listed it. My customers who keep tropical birds at home particularly love it. One customer told me she stitched the 7-inch onto a black cotton canvas jacket back panel and it looked like a professional custom piece. Try cream or white cotton for the clearest colour payoff. Avoid dark navy or black base fabrics, the cream flower petals cant be seen clearly and youll lose half the design. Stitch at reduced speed on any section that has multiple colour overlaps.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0699/6262/9270/files/ColorfulParrotwithTropicalFlowersEmbroideryDesign.png?v=1766379987
