She'd used cutaway stabiliser underneath the velvet and a wash-away topping on top, which is exactly right for pile fabrics since the swirl satin would sink without the topping holding surface tension.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eUse medium or heavy cutaway on velvet, faux suede and fleece. Tearaway is fine on woven cotton and linen. Hoop the fabric firm because the long swirl runs will pull at loose corners and distort the spirals.
