fall-heart-sunflower
Fall Heart Sunflower Embroidery Design, Instant Download

The heart shape isnt drawn as a solid outline. Instead its implied by the arrangement, every autumn element packed in so tightly that the heart silhouette reads on its own. Inside you've got a full sunflower bloom bottom-right with satin petals fanning out, a small round pumpkin bottom-left, maple leaves in 3 or 4 different sizes overlapping each other, holly sprigs with tiny round berries, what looks like acorn shapes tucked between the leaves, and fine feathery fern fronds filling any gaps. Running through the upper-left section is 'Fall' in a flowing cursive, same single-colour burnt orange as everything else.

The whole design is 1 colour, that warm burnt orange, and the monochrome approach is actually what makes it look so cohesive. Every element is fighting for space on the page but because theyre all the same thread tone they sit together without any 1 thing jumping out. The satin petals on the sunflower are the densest section, Wilcom used directional fill at an angle to get that layered petal look without extra colour changes. The cursive lettering sits on top of the leaf arrangement using raised satin columns.

Stitch count goes from 13,050 at the 2.87-inch smallest size up to 27,547 at the 6.13-inch largest. Medium density, cutaway stabiliser recommended. The negative-space style means theres alot of jump movement between elements, 48 trims, so the bobbin management matters. Keep bobbin tension consistent and the underside stays tidy.

Its the kind of design that reads differently depending on fabric colour. On cream or ivory it looks like a carved wood stamp. On deep burgundy or forest green the orange thread really glows. On natural linen its almost like a vintage print. One customer ordered the 5-inch version on natural linen last thanksgiving for a table runner set and said guests kept asking if it was screen printed. Try natural linen or ivory cotton first if youre not sure which base suits, those two are hard to get wrong with this palette. Skip bright white fabric though, the warmth of the burnt orange wants a slightly warmed base to sit against.
