One customer ran the 5 in size across a black denim tote last october and sent a photo, the contrast was sharper than I expected against dark fabric. Stitch black first, keep the red swap clean and trim tails before you move on. Skip topping on the wing fills, they dont need it and itll flatten the satin sheen.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBest on black, charcoal, or dark navy fabric where the black thread disappears into the base and the red pops on its own. A light background works too but the wings read softer.
