Pale or neutral grounds only because the black outline needs contrast to read. Avoid black or dark navy fabrics for obvious reasons. Skip terrycloth and fleece, the fine outlines wont register on pile. Use light tearaway stabiliser, no topping needed on smooth woven fabric. Pair with a script name or date underneath for memorial or birthday keepsakes.
