At 17111 stitches and 17 colours, theres alot going on inside that small 2.91 inch frame, the hat has its own satin underlay separate from that round white torso so they dont bleed into each other on lighter fabrics.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe density on this one sits at 260, which is on the lower side for a design with this many colour changes. I kept it there on purpose. Stick to firm cutaway on stretchy fabrics or youll get the classic pull distortion around the ghost's round belly. For woven stuff like cotton twill or canvas tote fabric, a tearaway works fine aswell. Stitch the white figure first, then add the hat layers, the digitising sequence in Wilcom was set up so the black hat sits over the white body cleanly, no topping needed unless youre going onto plush or minky.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIve put this on left-chest sweatshirts, kids halloween trick-or-treat bags, aprons, pillowcases, and canvas pouches. One customer wrote me last halloween saying she hooped up twenty tote bags for her daughter's class party and every single one came out clean first go. Thats the kind of feedback that makes me happy. Skip light grey or pale yellow backgrounds, the white ghost body gets lost. Dark fabric is where this design really pops, black or deep purple especially. Add an orange or purple thread for the hat buckle and the whole thing reads halloween without being too much.
