Its a paw print, standard four-toe layout, but the two top toe beans each hold a lion eye. Proper almond-shaped eyes with golden irises, short black lashes curling out from the lids. The main central pad below them carries the nose, a small pink triangle, and black whisker lines fanning out on each side. The black claw tips arc out from the top of the outer toe beans. So youve got a paw and a face at the same time and the two ideas sit together without fighting each other. Really clever bit of negative-space thinking.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe fills run warm tan across the whole paw shape, slightly lighter cream on the inner pad and toe centres. Thats what separates the facial detail from the background. Wilcom handled the iris sections with tight satin columns at an angle so those golden eyes actually catch light when stitched. Five sizes from 3.51 inches up to 7.51 inches, stitch counts from 15,304 to 38,586. Avoid mid-tone brown fabric because the warm tan just disappears into it. Use a firm tearaway on woven cotton and canvas. Swap to cutaway stabiliser if youre putting it on fleece or a thick sweatshirt. Keep medium speed for the iris satin columns, slow down a lil for the whisker lines so they sit straight.
