She wanted something botanical that felt slightly off, like something youd find in a dream. The melting effect is what clicked. Those petal drips are stitched with long satin columns narrowing as they taper down, so the thread direction actually mimics liquid flow. Realy satisfying to watch coming off the machine.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStitch counts go from 17k on the small 3.5-inch up to just under 42k on the 7.5-inch. The larger sizes show off the drip detail alot better because the taper has room to breathe. Use a medium cutaway stabiliser for anything on knit or fleece, tearaway works fine on firm cotton or canvas. Hoop snug because the vertical columns need even tension or they wander.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePop it on a white linen tote and the golden petals glow against the natural weave. Cream or oatmeal fabric backgrounds work brilliantly aswell. Id avoid dark coloured ground here because the pale drip tips disappear into navy or charcoal. That art shop owner stitched the 7-inch on cream canvas panels and framed them as wall pieces, which is honestly my favourite use so far.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePair with good polyester thread for the yellow and amber zones, it holds colour better through washes. Skip metallic on the seed centre despite the temptation, the tatami fill is dense and metallic thread shreds at high density.
