minimalist-mountain-landscape-2
Minimalist Mountain Landscape Embroidery Design V2, Instant Download

I built this landscape design last spring after abit of a run of overly complex projects, and it was genuinely nice to go minimal for once. Four colours, density at 70, nine sizes from 3.5 climbing to 7.5 inches, and the stitch count tops out at 25,343 at the largest, which is honest work for a 4-colour design, mostly because of the mountain fill areas which use a walking fill stitch at an angle to give the faces a slight shaded look in thread. Smallest size starts at 1,611 stitches so even the tiny version is a proper clean design. Its quieter than most of my designs but thats the point, it doesnt need to shout.

Stitch the background disc first, thats the pale sun/moon circle, then the far mountain in grey-blue, then the near mountain dark, then the pine trees last. Going out of that order creates colour bleed at the mountain-and-disc overlap. Pair crisp cutaway behind most wovens and denim; the density at 70 is moderate enough that tearaway handles it cleanly on non-stretch fabrics. Add cutaway on any knit or fleece project. And pick the size carefully for your placement, below 4 inches the pine triangles get a bit compressed and the individual trees lose their separation, so I'd call 4 inches the comfortable floor. Dont hoop too loosely on denim or the geometric fills warp at the edges.

I get messages from outdoor and hiking people buying this for custom gear patches and jacket backs alot, which makes total sense, the whole thing reads very outdoors brand energy at scale. Also works well on hats, though for a structured cap the 4-to-5-inch range with a firm front-panel stabiliser is the sweet spot since the mountain edges need to stay crisp without a curved hooping frame distorting the geometry. Its also a design that works really well screen-printed alongside the embroidered piece if youre doing a brand run.

Stitch this on medium-weight canvas or waxed cotton for outdoor gear projects, both fabrics hold the geometric fill lines clean and the mountain planes read much sharper than on a loosely woven linen.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0699/6262/9270/files/MinimalistMountainLandscapeMachineEmbroideryDesign.png?v=1775647475
