Last october I had a customer ask specifically for an owl design and this is the one I built from scratch for that request.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFive sizes, 9 colours mapped across all the stops in the sequence. Stitch counts run from 27,369 at the small end up to 62,302 at 7.47 x 7.5 inches. Density is 1112 so this absolutely needs cutaway stabiliser, the bobbin thread pulls hard on anything lighter. I hooped this during testing on a cotton-twill and had zero puckering with a firm cutaway, but ya need good tension on the outer hoop ring or the eye outlines drift. Use a topping on any napped fabric so those eye rings stay crisp. Stitch slowly through the wing feather sections where the colour changes stack up close together.
