Use a firm tearaway on quilting cotton or muslin, step up to cutaway only if youre stitching on a knit or stretch fabric. The satin fills on the wreath leaves are narrow so use a 75\/11 needle, anything larger and you lose the fine taper at the leaf tips. Run an underlay pass on the pumpkin body before the top orange satin goes down, the underlay keeps the ribs from sinking into the fabric pile.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePeople text me saying they use this one on napkins, aprons, autumn cushion panels, and a few have done it on fabric gift bags as thanksgiving hostess gifts. Its not too halloween, not too literal thanksgiving, just a genuinely nice fall botanical that works across the whole october-november window. Stitch it on natural linen for the cleanest result. Avoid shiny or synthetic base fabrics, the lower density shows thread gaps on slippery surfaces.
