White, cream, pale grey or pale pink cotton lets the red pop without fighting anything. Stitch quality on colour 3 (the red) is satin-heavy, about 6,800 stitches of it on the large size, so pair a fusible cutaway on woven cotton and make sure your topping is on if the fabric has any texture. Hoop tight, run the underlay layer fully before the red comes in, and the density sits just right. Skip stretchy knit, the satin fill will gap. Bobbin tension matters more than usual here because of the high trim count, check it before you run.
