Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: May 8, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using reembroidery.com (the "Site") and the digital products offered by Re Embroidery ("Re Embroidery"). It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and applies to every visitor, account holder, and customer.

1. General principles

You agree to use the Site and our products only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not violate the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use of, the Site by any third party.

2. Prohibited activities

You may not, and you may not permit any third party to:

2.1 Intellectual property and licensing violations

  • Copy, redistribute, share, gift, sell, sublicense, or transfer Design files in any form
  • Upload our Designs to any marketplace, file-sharing platform, social media for download, USB swap site, embroidery club, or any other distribution channel
  • Bundle our Designs into a product pack sold or distributed under your name
  • Re-digitize our Designs and sell or distribute the resulting derivative
  • Use our Designs to train artificial intelligence, machine-learning, or generative-art systems
  • Remove copyright notices, watermarks, attribution, or metadata from files or finished items
  • Use our trademarks, logos, or brand name without prior written permission

2.2 Fraud and security

  • Use stolen, fraudulent, or unauthorized payment methods
  • Engage in chargeback fraud (initiating chargebacks for legitimately delivered products)
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse promotions, free designs, or referral systems
  • Impersonate any person or entity, including Re Embroidery staff
  • Attempt unauthorized access to other users’ accounts
  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities of the Site or any system connected to it
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, license checks, or security measures
  • Introduce viruses, malware, ransomware, trojans, worms, or other harmful code
  • Conduct denial-of-service attacks or otherwise disrupt the Site or its infrastructure

2.3 Unauthorized data collection

  • Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, spiders, or other automated means to access the Site, except for public search engines that respect robots.txt
  • Harvest emails, names, addresses, or other personal information about users
  • Mirror or republish the Site or any substantial portion of its content

2.4 Misuse in finished embroidered items

You may not use our Designs to embroider items that are:

  • Obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit involving minors
  • Defamatory, libelous, or invasive of privacy
  • Harassing, threatening, or promoting violence against any person or group
  • Promoting hate speech, discrimination, or extremist ideology
  • Infringing on third-party trademarks, copyrights, or rights of publicity
  • Counterfeit goods or items represented as branded merchandise without authorization
  • Otherwise unlawful in your jurisdiction or the destination jurisdiction

2.5 Communications

  • Send unsolicited bulk commercial email or other forms of spam through Site features
  • Post abusive, harassing, defamatory, or hateful content in reviews, comments, or messages
  • Use the chat or support channels to harass our staff

2.6 Reverse engineering

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source patterns, algorithms, or trade secrets embedded in the Designs or Site code, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law

3. Reporting violations

If you observe behavior on the Site that violates this AUP, including unauthorized redistribution of our Designs elsewhere on the internet, please report it to abuse@reembroidery.com with as much detail as possible: URL, screenshots, timestamps, account or user identifiers (if known).

4. Consequences of violation

Violation of this AUP may result in any of the following, at our sole discretion:

  • Warning and request to cease the conduct
  • Suspension or termination of your account and access to the Site
  • Revocation of any License granted under our License and Commercial Use page
  • Removal of offending content
  • Forfeiture of any unused account credit, store credit, or pending refunds
  • DMCA takedown notices to third-party hosts
  • Civil action for damages, including statutory copyright damages and attorney fees
  • Referral to law enforcement
  • Reporting to payment processors and fraud-prevention databases

5. Cooperation with law enforcement

We cooperate with law-enforcement requests that are facially valid (subpoena, court order, search warrant). For requests outside our home jurisdiction, we apply applicable mutual-legal-assistance procedures. Emergency requests involving imminent threat to life are handled separately and promptly.

6. Modifications

We may modify this AUP at any time. The "Effective date" reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or our products after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
