The face is split right down the middle and each half is doing its own thing. Left side is mint teal with fine hatched line fills, almost watercolour-sketch in feel. Right side goes deep violet purple with thick ink-splash marks radiating outward past the ear line. Both halves share the same black outline structure so the cat face reads as one piece, but the colour split makes it look like two moods at once. The amber-orange eyes sit dead centre and hold the whole design together.

Around the edges theres coral-pink and teal brushstroke marks that push outside the face outline, kinda like the design is escaping its own border. Those marks are done with satin fills at an angle so they have real directionality in the stitch-out. Fourteen colours total including 3 separate teal tones going from pale mint to deeper aqua on the left half, and 2 purples on the right. digitising tools digitised the eye irises in tight concentric satin rings which gives em real depth at the 7-in chest size.

I made this one after a customer asked for a cat design that didnt look like every other cat design in the catalog. She ran an art gallery gift shop and wanted something that could sit next to screen-printed art tees without looking out of place. This is what I came up with. Since then the abstract cat is one of my best sellers for customers who are digitising for boutique streetwear and cat cafe merchandise. Send me message if ya need a colour variation and I can talk you through options.

Stitch it on black or dark charcoal for max contrast. Both purple and teal genuinely pop on dark grounds. Pop it on a white tee if ya want a cleaner, print-like look instead. Skip pale grey because the mint and lavender tones tend to blend into light neutrals. Use cutaway stabiliser here, 41k stitches on the largest size needs a stable base underneath.

Best results on firm woven cotton or canvas. The directional satin in the brushstroke marks wants a flat, non-stretch surface to sit correctly. Hoop with the grain and go slow on the accent marks section, the density is highest there at 918 avg across the whole file. Customising the size down to 3.5 inches works fine if ya only need a pocket logo or bag patch. Im happy to advise on stabiliser choice if youre unsure what ya have in stock.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
