Two big chrysanthemum heads sit on a tall stem, both fully open with layered petals fanning outward. The flowers are golden yellow and warm peach, and around them, in a kinda organised chaos arrangement, theres ink-splash marks. A big orange drip to the upper left, a teal splash to the right, and a wash of pale green behind the stems acting as a colour-field backdrop. The whole thing looks like someone did a botanical print and then flicked paint at it. Intentionally. And it worked.

Nine colours, 8 color changes. The chrysanthemum petals are done with directional tatami fills that run along the petal length, so each individual petal has its own stitch direction and catches light differently when the piece moves. The ink splash sections are flat filled shapes with irregular edges stitched in one pass. This design runs from 4.49 inches up to 8.49 inches wide, biggest sits at just under 50k stitches, middle sizes are in the 30k range. Its a statement piece, sized to be seen.

Honestly this is the design I reach for when someone wants something that doesnt feel like it came from a craft pack. Its not cutesy, its not traditional botanical, its kinda contemporary art. Got a customer who bought the 8-inch last month and stitched it on a white linen tote bag to sell at her gallery shop and it shifted quickly. The navy and teal tones really sing against white or pale cream fabric.

Pair midweight cutaway with all but the stiffest canvas. The large sized design especially benefits from hooping very firm before you start, the splash shapes have long satin fills that can pull fabric if its got any give. Stitch on white or natural linen, cream cotton canvas, pale cotton jersey for wearables. Avoid dark fabric because the golden tones wash out. Pick the medium 6-inch for a bag and the big 8.49-inch for art hoops or cushion fronts.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
