Sketched out this acorn with two oak leaves curled in behind it and honestly its one of my favourite autumn pieces from this set. The acorn sits front and centre, plump round nut shape with the scaled cap sitting on top and a stubby little stem poking up. Leaves fan out behind in that classic lobed oak leaf shape.

Leaves are filled with sage green and the vein lines run through in a deeper forest green so they actually read as leaves not just blobs. The acorn nut itself sits in warm caramel brown, with a darker chocolate shade across the textured cap and a pale tan slipped underneath as a soft highlight. So the whole piece has alot of depth despite only using 5 colours.

And the cap scaling is what makes this one work, its done with directional satin so each little scale catches the light separately. My niece took the file last fall and stitched it on a stack of linen tea towels for her mums kitchen, honestly they looked like something from a proper farmhouse shop.

Comes in 5 sizes from 3.5 inch up to 7.5 inch wide. Stitch count runs 13k to 43k for the biggest piece, 5 thread colours total with 4 colour changes. digitising tools handled the digitising so the leaf vein lines stay sharp even at the smallest size.

My niece grabbed the file lately autumn and ran it on a stack of cotton kitchen runners for her mothers kitchen, a customer later told me they looked exactly reminiscent of a proper rural shop. Stitches beautifully on linen, midweight cotton, waffle weave and canvas. Tearaway works on woven cotton, cutaway for any tee knit. Skip thin silk for the larger sizes since the acorn body has alot of fill coverage. Send a quick message if the file dosent open in your software, ill get back to you. Thats how I keep it.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
