I designed this one after I had a customer ask me for something with cats that wasnt gonna look too busy on a small space. The peeking pose was the answer, ya get the whole personality of a cat face without needing a full body. Stitch range on this goes from 1,943 at from 3.5 to 14,977 at 7.5 max-inch size, which puts it in a comfortable medium territory. Density is 41, so its not gonna cause puckering on quilting cotton, poplin, or lightweight canvas.

Four colours are used, a cream fur base, a warmer tone for the ear insides and facial markings, black for the eyes and features, and a lil pink for the inner ear. professional embroidery software digitised this, and I ran the underlay as a split stitch base on the face before the top fills. That way the fur texture reads as soft rather than stiff, even at smaller sizes. Use a light cutaway stabiliser if youre stitching on jersey or any knit, the face shape needs a stable base or it kinda just distorts. Hoop it on an 4x4 or 5x5 hoop depending on your size choice.

Nine sizes included, all going from 3.5 scaling to 7 inch span. I get asks about this one from people doing cat-themed gifts, and the 4-inch version is the most popular for tote bags and pouches. One customer sent me a photo of it on a small coin purse and it honestly looked very good at that scale.

All 8 formats are in the download. Ping me a chat if youre having any trouble with the files or need a customised size. Send a chat if the satin needs tweaking and Ill check the punch.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
