This is a two-colour mixed lettering design where the words and the little creatures each do their own thing. "All" sits in plain black serif block letters, small and upright. "hallows" swoops through the centre in orange brushscript with elegant looping tails, its the most visually dominant word in the composition. "Eve" returns to upright black block. And then scattered around the letters you get a grumpy-looking black cat sitting up top-right corner, eyes narrowed, whiskers out, very much judging everything, and a bat with wide open wings gliding in from the bottom-left. Five sizes, 2 colours, 1 colour change. Clean and quick to stitch.

Smallest size is 1.62 inches wide by 3.01 inches tall, which makes this one narrow and vertical compared to most halloween designs. Largest goes to 3.77 inches wide by 7.01 inches tall. Stitch count goes from 4,389 up to 11,454 on the biggest, really low density at 433, the machine cruises through this one fast. Tearaway stabiliser is fine on most wovens. The black cat silhouette is hooped in a tight dense fill, it needs the hoop locked before the machine starts that section or the outline creeps.

A customer from a costume shop in Austin told me she uses this on cream linen tote bags for her october window display and said the orange script photographs really beautifully against the pale ground, she sent me message with photos and honestly she was right. The vertical format also means it works well on tote handles and pencil cases where horizontal designs dont fit.

Stitch on cream linen or natural canvas for the most atmosphere, the orange hallows text glows warm against undyed cloth. Black cotton works too and flips it to high contrast moody. Skip busy patterned fabric here, the cat and bat silhouettes both need a clear ground to read. Pair the 3-inch size on a pocket or sleeve patch, the 7-inch on a tote bag front panel.

Add a cutaway underlay if youre stitching on a cotton blend with any give, the tall thin vertical shape is prone to shifting without good stabiliser. Email me through the shop if the bat wings merge or the cat whiskers disappear and Ill adjust the minimum stitch length for ya.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Halloween window display tote bagsStitch the tall 7-inch on a cream linen tote for a window display bag that photographs well in orange and black.
  • Costume shop branded packagingA costume hire shop uses these on their garment bags as a branded october-only tag, looks really polished.
  • Narrow tote handle panelsThe narrow vertical shape fits a tote handle panel at the 3-inch size where wider designs never quite work.
  • Halloween linen napkins and table runnersEmbroider on a natural linen napkin and the orange script sits warm against the undyed cloth for a table setting.
  • Pencil case or zipper pouch frontPop the small 2-inch size on a pencil case zip panel or a fabric bookmark for a subtle halloween gift.
  • Fall porch decor hoop art framed pieceHoop the biggest size in a 10-inch round frame and hang it as a halloween wall piece above a mantelpiece.
  • Teacher halloween cardigan pocketThe 3-inch sits neatly on a cardigan front pocket for a teacher outfit that reads festive without being loud.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
