The eagle here isnt just floating over the flag, its kinda fused with it. Wings fully spread out horizontally and the flag fills that same rectangular shape behind em, so the red stripes actually weave through the wing area. Blue canton with stars sits up behind the head and neck.

4 colours total, brown for the body feathers, white for the neck and crown, then the flag colours handling everything else. The feather work is done with directional stitching so each row of feathers has its own angle, gives it that actually realistic layered look rather than a flat fill. Stitch count is 10,127 at 3 inches up to 32,621 at the 7 inch size. Five sizes in total.

I made this one specifically for people doing 4th of july custom apparel runs and memorial day fundraiser shirts. One customer reached out last summer saying she used the 6-in detail on a back-jacket piece and it turned out better than she expected, the feather detail held at that scale without any matting.

Best on a plain light background, white or cream lets the navy and brown really stand out. Skip black fabric because the brown feathers get swallowed.

Use a good cutaway stabiliser for the 5 inch and up sizes since the fill density is high in the feather sections. Hoop tight. Reach out if theres any download issue and Ill fix it up.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • 4th of July custom shirtsThe 6 or 7 inch motif on a plain white tee makes a full chest statement for holiday events.
  • Memorial day fundraiser apparelStitched on a polo shirt for a memorial day fundraiser it reads professional and respectful at any size.
  • Patriotic jacket back piecesThe large 7 inch size works as a back-jacket piece, centred between the shoulder blades on a denim or canvas jacket.
  • Veterans event polo shirtsOn a plain navy polo it doubles as event apparel for veterans organisations and civic groups.
  • American pride tote bagsA 4-in detail on a canvas tote becomes a reusable patriotic bag for holiday markets and events.
  • Patriotic wall hoop artThe 5 inch version in an embroidery hoop with navy backing makes a wall piece that doesnt need a frame.
  • Custom flag day giftsPrinted on a gift card insert and stitched on a tea towel it makes a flag day package that people actually keep.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
