Heres the american flag bow and its got that classic boutique hair-bow energy with patriotic ribbon. The bow is wide and full, two big loops on top, two long trailing tails dropping down. Left loop holds the navy stars panel, fifteen white stars scattered across deep blue ground. Right loop carries the red and white horizontal stripes, alternating crisp bands flowing from the loop edge into the trailing ribbon tail.

At the centre sits a tight knot in cream beige, the ribbon cinched in tight, ink black outlines holding the whole bow shape together. The trailing tails fall down from the knot, each tail showing the same flag pattern as its loop. I went heavy on directional satin stitching for the ribbon body so it actually reads like ribbon weave, not flat colour blocks. Stars are tiny five-point shapes done in a clean satin fill. Recieved the photos from one customer last june whos digitising hair bows for a 4th of july parade and the stitches looked sharp.

If you stitch this on dark cloth the navy panel reads strong but you lose abit of edge contrast on the red stripes. So the best ground is white, cream, soft grey, butter yellow. Pop the smaller 3 inch on a girls cotton hair-bow scrunchie pouch. Pair the bigger 7 inch on a square cushion cover for memorial day porch decor or run on a kitchen tea towel for the holiday. Skip patterned fabric here aswell, the bow itself has alot going on with stars and stripes.

Densest sections sit in that blue canton fill and the long red stripe satin runs. Im saying use heavy stabiliser there. Use a heavy cutaway stabiliser, hoop firm, ease the rpm during the stripe passes so the red lines hold their crispness. 44k stitches at the largest hoop size needs ya machine running calm. my standard software did a clean job on the colour change sequence so the swap from white star fill to navy ground flows steady through the file. One bow. Two ribbons. Done.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
