The skull is split down the middle, left half is the star field in blue satin with white stars stitched over it, right half runs red and white horizontal stripes. The eye sockets are open voids punched into the flag fill so the fabric shows through, which gives it that hollow look skulls need. At the bottom the jawline doesnt end cleanly, it frays into ragged dripping strips like the flag itself is torn at the edges.

3 colours, blue, white and red, which is about as clean as it gets for a design this dense. The density is sitting around 1098 on this one which means the coverage is solid throughout. Its not a beginner first-run design because the stitch count is proper high, you want a good firm stabiliser underneath and a sharp needle, use a 75/11 embroidery needle at minimum and go slow through the denser sections if your machine needs it.

I see this one on black fabric almost exclusively, the patriotic colours pop hardest against a black ground. Denim jackets, black caps, black tees, that kind of thing. July 4th and veterans day are obviously the big windows for it but honestly people order this year-round.

Stitch on black denim for max contrast since thats where the red and blue really punch. Use heavy cutaway behind the dense satin fills or youll get shifting on the star section. Skip light cotton because the satin coverage bleeds through on pale grounds and youre gonna end up with a muddy result. If youre new to high-density work, dont rush the stitchout.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
