Theres not alot to explain here, its an anchor. The proper kind: ring at the top, straight shank running down the centre, horizontal stock bar crossing through the upper third, and two curved flukes sweeping out at the base with pointed tips. No rope coiled around it, no compass rose, no decorative border. Just the shape, done clean in solid black fill.

1 colour, 1 trim, 1 stop. Thats the whole design, and dont let that fool ya. my workhorse software ran a consistent density across the fill so the black sits even on cotton twill without the thicker sections looking darker than the rest. The shank and ring get a directional underlay first so the fill stitches land flat and the edges stay crisp at every scale. At 3.5 inches wide the smallest version is still readable as an anchor from a few feet back, which matters if youre putting it on a chest pocket or a hat panel.

Back in june one customer ordered this for navy canvas tote bags for a sailing club gift set, 9 bags, all the same 5-inch size in black thread on cream canvas. Buyer mailed in a snap of the finished tote and it looked exactly like a proper nautical print stamp. Thats the clean edge that makes a silhouette like this work, and cutaway stabiliser is non-negotiable on canvas if ya want that crispness. Dont skip it, even on the smaller sizes.

Run it on navy, cream, white, or charcoal fabric. Single colour means ya can switch threads and get the same clean result in red, white, or even a metallic. Avoid the larger sizes on jersey without heavy cutaway stabiliser, the wide flukes have decent surface area and the fill will pucker without proper stabilisation. Best on wovens: denim, canvas, twill, linen. One color. Done.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
