Honestly the expression on this penguin is kinda everything. Arms folded tight across the belly, eyebrows pulled down hard, cheeks flushed red. Hes wearing a santa hat and a lil scarf and he is not happy about any of it. The body is that classic round penguin silhouette, black back, white front, orange bill and webbed feet, but its all the extra details that make it work: the creased eyebrows, the scarf tassels sitting slightly off-center, the rosy patches on the cheeks.

14 colours sounds like alot but the thread change sequence is really well thought out. Youll run through blacks and whites first, then the reds for the hat and scarf, then orange for the bill and legs, then those little rosy cheek patches last. Digitised in the software I use so the underlay is already set to handle the chunky satin fills across that round white belly without any puckering. Stitch count is 23k on the smallest 3.4-inch size up to 55k on the full 7.3-inch, so its a dense and rich full design.

Im getting alot of orders for this one on ugly christmas sweater blanks and novelty aprons. People have been ordering it for holiday humour merch all through november. One customer messaged me after stitching it on a batch of grey crew necks and said they sold the whole lot before december 10th. Thats the kind of design that people pick up because they see it and just laugh.

Use a solid cutaway stabiliser for the belly section, the dense satin on that large white fill area needs it. Stitch on grey, charcoal, white or red for best contrast. Skip cream or off-white backgrounds because the white chest area will blend into em. Send me message if your software cant import the file and Ill get you sorted fast.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
