Heres my chibi animal lineup, five lil characters standing shoulder to shoulder. Theres a black and white zebra on the far left, then a grey penguin with an orange beak, an orange dragon with a tiny gold crown sat smack in the centre, a green spiky dino, and a pastel pink unicorn with a rainbow tail on the end. Big anime eyes on every face. So sweet you might cry abit.

I drew it kawaii style, soft pastel fills with thin black linework around each animal so the silhouettes pop. The line goes 7.5 inches wide at full size and only 3.65 inches tall, which means it fits across a kids tee front or pram blanket strip without crowding. Eleven thread colours total. The black outline does a lot of the lifting here.

And the file ranges from 12,351 stitches at the petite build reaching 31,977 at the biggest. Densest sections are the dragons crown and the unicorns mane so use a midweight cutaway stabiliser under jersey or fleece. Hoop tight, dont float. The pastel fills sit better on cream, oatmeal or sage grounds than pure white, the white can look washed out next to those pinks. I get messages every march about this one going onto playgroup tote bags.

Stitch a colour test on scrap before the real fabric. Skip metallic threads on the dino spikes, plain rayon reads cleaner. Pick polyester for things that go through the wash a lot like blankets and bibs. Pop a topping over terry cloth so the outlines dont sink. Run the machine slow on the eye details, those lil pupils need to land clean.

Holler at me on chat if your file wont open or you get a weird trim path, ill rebuild and resend the same day.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kids' tee shirtsSits perfect across a 5T tee chest, the long horizontal shape works better than centre placement.
  • Pram blanket panelsI stitched it onto a cream fleece pram blanket last week, the pastels glowed against the cream.
  • Daycare tote bagsOne mum ordered ten of these for her daycare class tote bags, one duck per kid name.
  • Nursery wall hoopsHoop it on linen with a wide cream mat, it makes a sweet nursery wall piece for kids rooms.
  • Baby quilt blocksUse it as the centre block on a baby quilt, surround with plain pastel patchwork squares.
  • Toddler hoodiesFront chest of a toddler hoodie, leave room for the hood seam and youre golden.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
