So this one is a split-name frame built entirely out of school supplies. The top bar of the frame is a yellow ruler with tick marks running along it, and the bottom bar mirrors it so theres a clear name gap in the middle where you stitch your text or leave blank. A big satin-filled red apple sits dead centre with a tiny green leaf and a little brown stem poking up. Behind the apple theres a paintbrush leaning to the right and a yellow protractor sweeping around the far edge. Down at the lower corners youve got a purple crayon on the left and a sharpened pencil on the right, its tip pointing down. Every single element has a thick black satin outline so the whole thing reads crisp even from a distance.

And with 12 colour stops the stitching plan is pretty involved, but industry tools laid it out clean so the sequence makes sense on machine. Smallest size is 2.34 by 3.52 inches at around 7,000 stitches, largest goes to 4.98 by 7.51 inches at just under 19,000. Density sits at 507 stitches per square inch, which is a confident medium-heavy fill that holds detail without going stiff. Five sizes total, so customers can fit this on a tote pocket, a sweatshirt chest or a full apron front without rescaling anything by hand.

I made this back in september after a lot of people wanted a teacher gift frame that wasnt just a plain apple or a tiny pencil. This one stacks the whole classroom onto one design so you can personalise it with a name or just use the frame on its own. Works best on stable wovens: canvas, twill, denim, cotton drill. Pick a mid-toned background, something in cream, grey, light navy or soft olive, so the red and yellow pop without washing out. Avoid very pale white if you want the outline to really bite in.

Use midweight cutaway behind and hoop firm. With 12 colours youre going to be at the machine for a few trim stops, so load your bobbins before you start and dont try to rush through the colour changes. If the apple centre shifts slightly between the top and bottom half of the split frame, ease the tension on the red thread just abit before re-running that section.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Teacher name frame on a canvas tote bagPop the 4-inch size across a canvas tote panel and run a teacher name through the split gap for a practical end-of-year present
  • Back-to-school sweatshirt personalisationCentre the large size on the chest of a grey school sweatshirt and personalise the frame with a staff member's first name
  • Classroom apron front panel for an art teacherRun the medium size on a heavy canvas apron for an art or craft teacher who keeps supplies in the front pocket
  • End-of-year gift pillow with a teacher's name stitched in the gapA customer last spring stitched the 4.98-inch onto a cream throw pillow and slipped her daughters teacher name between the rulers, the reaction at the end-of-year party was really good
  • School supply pouch flap embellishmentUse the smaller 2.34-inch on the flap of a zipper pouch and give it as a pencil-case gift with matching supplies inside
  • Nursery school welcome banner on cotton canvasStitch the mid build on a natural cotton banner for a classroom welcome display above the whiteboard
  • School librarian lanyard pouch personalisationRun the small size on a fabric lanyard pouch so a librarian can carry their badge and a personal touch at once
  • Student graduation gift with teacher name addedFrame a graduation card in fabric by stitching the design on a small felt square and attaching it to a card front as a keepsake

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
