A wide open flower, four or five big rounded petals spreading out from a deep solid black center. The petals are done in warm peach and apricot-orange tones, not flat fills but layered wash gradients with soft yellow patches sitting in toward the middle. Long thin directional stitches radiate from that black center outward giving it a bit of an art-school botanical drawing feel.

Theres faint pinkish-mauve blush patches near the base of some petals where the colours transition, and around the whole outside a ring of pointed grey-green leaves fans out like a collar. Eleven threads, but theyre all working together across those petal gradients so the finished piece has real depth. The black outline is bold which keeps everything legible even on busier fabric colours. My customers use this one a lot for linen totes and table runners, and Folks order this design steadily for may and june when people are making gifts and home decor for spring.

Nine sizes starting at 3.51 inches ranges up to 7.5 inch wide. The count spans from 23,384 at the small end to 66,618 at the large. At the bigger sizes the petal shading is really noticable because the stitching direction follows the petal curves. Anchor with cutaway on canvas or denim so those long radiating stitches dont pull. Hoop it on a linen tote, a heavy cotton cushion cover, or a jacket back. Skip loosely woven fabrics at the larger sizes. Works beatifully on anything flat and structured. Any file issues just message me.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Embroidered on a linen tote bag or market bagThe square proportions fill a tote front panel really evenly at the larger sizes
  • Stitched onto a denim jacket back or shoulderOn a denim jacket the bold black outline holds up brilliantly against the dark background
  • Used on throw pillow covers for a botanical room themeThe warm peach tones pair naturally with cream, ivory and sage cushion fabrics
  • Placed on a canvas apron front panelAn apron bib has exactly the right amount of space for the 5 to 6 inch sizes
  • Added to a table runner or placemats for a spring table settingAt around 4 inches it tiles nicely across a table runner with a bit of spacing between repeats
  • Embroidered on a wide-brim hat crownThe flower-face-up composition is made for hat crowns, it fills the space naturally
  • Used on a quilt block or fabric panel as a statement pieceAs a standalone quilt block the graphic outline makes it easy to work around with other fabrics

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
