So my niece had her first lil one back in november and I drew this design for her christmas keepsake box. Two baby footprints stitched in bright apple green, sitting under a sage ribbon bow tied just above. Bow has these long curling tails that wrap around the prints. Two holly leaves up top with red berries between em. A bunch of gold star bursts scattered around all four corners.
Five colours total: bright green on the feet, sage on the bow ribbon, dark forest tone covers the holly leaves, red for berry cluster, yellow gold across nine star bursts. 4 sizes spanning 2.93 in wide up to 6.26 in tall. The small end runs 5,862 stitches, biggest size is sixteen thousand six hundred and sixty four. my software digitised, Tajima format. Each tiny toe is a separate satin column so the smaller versions can look ya know a bit chunky if you push satin too dense.
Hoop on white or cream so the prints pop. I tested it on a pale grey baby jersey vest and the contrast was lovely. Skip patterned fabrics here because theres a bunch going on already with five colours. Use a soft poly mesh cutaway behind jersey so the reverse dont feel scratchy against baby skin, my sister was very specific about that bit. Slow the machine on the toes, atleast on the 3-inch run, those small satin dots can get messy at speed.
I get messages from grandmums asking which size works for a christmas onesie chest. 4-inch is the sweet spot. Stitch the smallest on bibs or burp cloths, hoop the 6-inch on a wall hanging or baby quilt block. One customer wrote in last december saying she ran the big size on a felt christmas stocking with her granddaughters name underneath. Kinda perfect use case really.
Send me message if anything dont load right, Ill rework the punch fast for ya. Its a quick swap.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Baby first christmas onesie chest stitchThe 4-inch size lands clean on a baby onesie chest, bright green reads well over cream or white cotton.
- Felt christmas stocking with baby name underneathRun the 6.26-inch on the cuff of a felt stocking, then handwrite babys name below in fabric pen.
- Cotton bib or burp cloth for newborn giftHoop the 3-inch on a soft cotton bib, mesh cutaway keeps the reverse gentle against baby skin.
- Nursery wall hanging or fabric ornamentCentre the 6-inch on a nursery wall panel or hang from ribbon as a fabric ornament for the tree.
- Baby quilt block centre for keepsake quiltUse the 4-inch as a centre square in a baby quilt block surrounded by holly print fabric.
- White or cream baby blanket cornerPlace the 5-inch in one corner of a white milestone blanket for first-christmas photos.
- Christmas card pouch or memory box lidDrop the smallest size on a felt pouch lid to hold first-christmas hospital tags and cards.
- Pale grey jersey baby vest frontPale grey jersey vest fronts work too, contrast lifts the green nicely against soft grey.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
