Chibi baby dragon sitting on his bottom like a tired toddler, both wings tucked out at his sides, tiny curled tail wrapping round. Big teardrop eyes take up half the face which is the whole chibi look, and theres two tiny horns on top of the head plus a small spike fin running down the spine.

Body is a soft pink red base with a deeper crimson on the wing membranes and the tongue area, so theres dimension without going overcomplicated. Outline is heavy black satin column work, the eyes get two tiny white highlights so they read as alive not flat. Five colours and six colour changes per file, density runs 831 spi count meaning is medium weight.

I drew this one last december because I kept getting messages from people who wanted a fantasy design that wasnt scary for nursery and toddler stuff. Most of the dragons in the catalogue are properly fierce so this one is the soft option. Came out kinda just sweet without losing the dragon character which I was worried about.

Comes in 5 sizes from 2.87 to 6.67 inches wide. Use a tearaway stabiliser behind cotton or twill, switch to a cutaway under jersey knit or fleece since the dense pink fill on the body has some pull. Hoop the small one with a topping film on towelling fabric so the eye details dont sink into the loops. Slow the machine to about 700 spm on the smallest size so the tooth and horn detail comes out clean.

Customers stitch this on toddler romper fronts, kids tshirts, nursery cushions, baby blanket corners and birthday party totes. Works on cotton, linen, fleece, jersey, twill and lightweight denim. Skip dark fabric for the body since the pink red disappears, light pastels work best.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
