Baby elephant with a flower wreath sitting on its head, blooms draping down at the sides. The elephant itself is soft grey with pale lavender shading across the ears and belly, and its got the kind of big soft eyes that are round and expressive, not photo-realistic, which is what keeps this firmly in nursery territory and not wildlife illustration. Small round ears, a little trunk curling gently downward, and across the back a scattering of coral and dusty pink flowers with sage green leaf accents. 10 colours that all sit together in that pastel register, nothing jarring.

Density at 1,143 stitches per inch is in the solid middle range. embroidery software used directional fill on the elephant body so the grey looks like it has depth even at smaller sizes. The flower wreath details use satin columns for the petal edges, and those are the sections that need steady hooping. Medium-weight cutaway stabiliser throughout. Tearaway will pucker on the large body fill at anything above the 4-inch version. Run the colour changes in sequence and dont reposition between passes, the wreath and elephant body overlap in places and registration matters for that join. I usually recommend reducing stitch speed through the floral satin sections.

Gets ordered alot for baby showers. One customer told me last spring she embroidered a 6-inch run on a cream linen drawstring gift bag and the mum cried when she opened it. I know thats a big reaction to a bag but the design has that softness that lands on people. 5 sizes from 3.51 to 7.5 inches, the smallest fits on a bib or an onesie chest panel, the largest fills a cot bumper panel or a full tote bag front.

Cream, soft white, pale yellow, mint and baby blue fabric all work with the pastel elephant palette. Avoid very bright or saturated backgrounds, the soft grey body disappears against anything too intense. Stitch the small version on a cotton bib or a 3-month bodysuit front. Run the 6-in feature on a nursery tote front or the front panel of a cot storage pocket. Put the top 7-in version on a cot bumper end panel or a beige cushion cover for a wildlife-themed nursery.

8 format options inside the download. Any problem with the file just send me a message and Ill check the format for your machine.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
