Thirteen colours sounds like alot but the machine stops are spread across small detail zones so it runs faster than ya think. Five sizes from 3.51 to 7.51 inches, stitch counts from 12,655 at the smallest up to 32,536. Density is 582 so the fill isnt heavy, the finished piece stays soft to the touch which matters alot on baby items where the fabric goes against skin. I started digitising cartoon animals for baby and kid projects last march after a customer asked me to customise a baby shower gift set, and this elephant ended up being kinda the most popular thing I made that month.

Use a light cutaway stabiliser on stretch fabric like jersey onesies, tearaway on stable cotton voile or quilting cotton. The cheek circles and the heart fills use satin columns at a pretty fine density, so run with a fresh sharp needle to avoid snags, especially if the base fabric is lightweight. The hearts around the elephant each have a small underlay before the satin fill so they sit raised and textured rather than flat, that really matters for the gift look. And honestly youll notice the difference between a machine that runs this slow versus fast in how clean those raised hearts sit.

Thirteen colour changes in sequence, the machine will stop at each one. It takes maybe 20 minutes at most on a mid-range machine at the 5 inch size. Worth it for the finished result. Pick pale grey or soft lilac for the body, rosy pink for the cheeks, then mix warm pinks and a deep rose for the hearts for a classic baby colour palette. Dont skip the cheek colour, thats what gives it that kawaii character.

Works on baby onesies, nursery cushions, a small quilt panel, a personalised baby blanket corner, or a keepsake bib. Pair it with a name via your machine's lettering function if you want a customised baby gift. Avoid loose knit fabric for the finer detail areas, medium-weight jersey or woven cotton gives the cleanest results.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
