Made this one last february when I was working through a bunch of nursery safari designs. A customer who ordered three designs that week told me this was the one that made her whole room feel finished, she had it on a cot bumper, a bib and a wall hoop and they all matched up perfectly. The elephant is round and chubby-cute, trunk up, water flying everywhere, eleven colour stops across soft greys and pale blues.

Five sizes from 3.51 inches across spanning 7.51 inches, stitch count running from 16,584 to 39,321. And the density sits at 1,146 spi count which sounds alot but it means the little splash droplets actually read as separate shapes rather than blurring into the background. Pop firm cutaway terry or fleece fabrics, or tearaway on standard cotton. The satin underlay on the trunk section needs good hooped tension, dont skip that step or youll get puckering on the lighter blue fill areas.

Best results come from a pale grey or cloud-white base fabric. Its a wide design so the 3.51 inch version sits nicely on newborn onesie chests, while the bigger 7.51 inch version is really built for wall hoops or large blanket panels. Add a stabiliser topping over towelling if youre going onto waffle-weave fabric, the loops catch the satin sections otherwise.

Holler at me if any format file doesnt load right and Ill get you a replacement in whichever format your machine needs.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Baby shower gift onesies and bodysuitsStitch the 3.51 inch size chest-centred on 0-3 month onesies with tearaway on cotton knit.
  • Nursery wall hoop art framed piecesFrame the 7.51 inch in a 10 inch embroidery hoop for a nursery wall display piece.
  • Baby bibs and burp clothsThe 3.51 inch fits perfectly on bib panels; white or pale grey fabric backgrounds read best.
  • Safari-theme cot bumper panelsRun the 6-in size on natural cotton bumper panels for a coordinated safari nursery set.
  • Toddler swim bag applique patchesIron-on backing on the 4 inch version makes a clean patch for drawstring swim bags.
  • Newborn photo session blanketsStitch on fleece blanket with cutaway backing, the 5 inch size is ideal for lap throws.
  • Baby birthday banner felt patchesRun five of the 3.51 inch versions across felt banner panels for a first birthday party.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
