The head is massive and the body is tiny and thats exactly the point. This is the full kawaii treatment applied to a baby giraffe. The round head takes up the top half of the design, with two small round horn nubs at the top and a pair of wide floppy ears on the sides. The eyes are the biggest thing going on here. They are large, round, jet black with bright yellow-green irises, full lashes curled up dramatically on both sides, little pink inner-ear colour and a tiny rosy nose. Its the kind of face thats quite hard not to like.

The giraffe pattern is properly done. The amber base coat, the darker irregular brown spots, the pale cream belly, all rendered in directional satin with real depth to it. Theres a small flower crown on top, which is a pink daisy cluster with two or three green leaves, tucked between the horn nubs. It reads as a girl giraffe but honestly it works either way, Ive had customers stitch it for both boys and girls nurseries without changing a thread.

17 colours and the smallest file runs at about 22k stitches, which is very manageable on a 4-inch hoop. A customer last month needed the 5-inch size for a nursery wall hanging and said those long curled lashes stitched out better than expected on a 40wt thread. Im easy to find in the shop if the file gives you trouble and Ill get it sorted fast.

Best on white or cream fabric where the amber and brown tones really glow. Fine satin or smooth cotton lets the eye area read clearly. Add topping on any fabric with a slight texture or pile. Cutaway stabiliser throughout because the dense fill in the head needs that support. Run your test on a scrap first to check the bobbin tension before committing to the final piece. Reach out if something doesnt look right and Ill have a replacement file out to you fast.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Baby nursery wall hoops and room decorHoop on a white cotton panel and frame it for nursery wall art, the round face is the whole composition and it fills a 6-inch hoop perfectly
  • Newborn onesies and infant bodysuitsStitches clean on a white onesie and the lashes and flower crown make it look like a proper boutique piece rather than a home craft project
  • Baby shower gift bags and wrapping pouchesAdd to a small drawstring pouch with a muslin or a teether and youve got a genuinely sweet baby shower gift that doesnt look generic
  • Safari or jungle nursery theme projectsPairs with other safari animals on a nursery wall set or mix it with jungle leaves for a full themed room corner
  • Childrens backpacks and school bagsKids genuinely ask for this one by name when they see it, the big eyes are recognisable at a glance even on a small backpack pocket
  • Kids clothing pockets and sleeve patchesThe compact shape works well on a sleeve cuff or a chest pocket on a toddler shirt without overwhelming the garment
  • Personalised baby blanket cornersStitch one on each corner of a fleece baby blanket and add a name below for a personalised gift that feels considered and handmade

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
