A cute baby girl, 17 colours, sitting up and looking sideways like shes already got opinions. Dark curly hair piled at the top with a pink bow headband across it, a pink dummy in her mouth, and a bright hot-pink sleeveless dress. The expression is calm and a tiny bit cheeky. this is the design where the face is the whole thing, and this face is really good.

17 colours might sound like a lot but they break down sensibly: multiple warm brown tones layered for the face and arms and legs, the dark charcoal range for the curl clusters in her hair, the various pinks for dress and bow and pacifier, and a small gold fill for the pacifier ring. The curls stitch as individual satin-fill clusters that overlap so they read as natural hair texture rather than a lumpy dark mass. Thats the hardest part of a design like this to get right and its done properly here. I get people ordering this one specifically for baby shower gifts, it comes up a lot.

Nine sizes from 3.5 by 2.15 inches to 7.5 by 4.61 inches. Stitch count tops out at 37k on the largest with 1083 stitches per square inch, so use a firm stabiliser and expect proper stitch time. The hair detail in particular needs good hoop tension or the curl outlines drift. Use cutaway on stretch fabrics and tear-away on woven cotton and felt.

White, ivory, pale pink, lavender and soft yellow backgrounds all work. Avoid dark backgrounds because the layered brown shading needs a light base to read properly. Stitch on a smooth tightly woven fabric and if youre going onto knit babygrows, float a topping layer so the curl detail doesnt sink. Someone ordered this last Christmas for her niece, she stitched it on a pale pink onesie and the family kept it framed. Message me if the colour-change sequence throws an error on your specific machine.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
