Ok so the baby leopard cub face is honestly one of the cuter ones Ive stitched. Big round brown eyes, tiny pink nose, rounded baby ears with the black backs that all leopard cubs have. The face shape sits wider than the head, gives it that baby-soft cuteness thats hard to fake. Hand-stitched whiskers fan out from the muzzle in single black lines.

The fur builds up in layers so you get a brushed in look rather than a flat fill. Soft cream around the muzzle and chin. Warmer tan across the forehead. Black rosette spots scatter through the top of the head and the inner ears. Whiskers stitch in as fine single lines and theyre catching the light a tiny bit on satin fabric. Eight thread colours total, around 48k stitches at the 7.49 inch size.

Last week one customer ordered the file for a jungle themed baby shower and stitched a 5 inch version onto a cream muslin swaddle. She sent me photo and the brushed fur effect actually came through proper soft, not pixelated like alot of cub faces do at small hoop sizes. Im glad the colour layering holds up at smaller hoops, that was the trickiest part to digitise.

Run a woven cutaway stabiliser, especially on knits, otherwise the dense fur fill will pull the fabric in slightly. Hoop tight, dont skip on tension. Pre-wash cotton onesies, the dense satin work can pucker on un-prepped fabric. Use polyester thread for kids gear since parents wash these things weekly. The 4 inch hoop fits a onesie chest panel without crowding, the 7.49 inch sits great on a 14 inch nursery pillow.

Pop a smaller version on the corner of a muslin blanket. Pair it with a name in chunky lettering above for a baby shower keepsake. Skip dark navy or black fabric, the cream and tan tones wont read on a deep base, cream linen and pale grey jersey are honestly where this looks best. Reach me a note if your machine throws a colour stop weird and ill resequence the trims for ya.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Baby onesies and bibs for jungle-theme nurseriesSized to 3 inches across the cub fits on a onesie chest panel without pulling.
  • Crib blankets and swaddle cornersStitch it in the corner of a muslin swaddle, the brushed fur texture is really lovely up close.
  • Nursery hoop wall art over the changing tableIn a 10 inch wood frame hoop it sits perfect over a changing table or shelf.
  • Baby shower gift towelsOn a soft cream towel the tan tones blend warm, sweet shower gift with a ribbon.
  • Diaper bags and stroller pouchesStitches well on canvas pouches but use a cutaway, the dense fill needs proper support on the pocket.
  • Toddler hoodies and zip-up jacketsCream or pale grey hoodies take this best, the fur shading reads soft not muddy.
  • Soft plush cube panels for sensory playWorks on a 5 inch sensory cube panel, back it firm so toddler tugs dont distort it.
  • Pillow covers for kids safari bedroomsOn a 16 inch pillow against khaki sheets it ties a whole safari themed kids bedroom together.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
