This baby mouse sits upright with those ears that are almost as wide as the full head and its the exaggerated proportion that gives it the cartoon baby animal look instead of just a regular mouse illustration. The body is dove grey with short fill stitches running in a directional pattern to suggest soft fur instead of a flat block fill. Ears are dusty pink on the outside with a deeper inner ear section stitched in a concentric smaller circle. Two amber eye circles, tiny relative to the head, with white highlight dots that keep them from reading flat.

Nine sizes from 2.78 inches wide at the smallest up to 5.93 inches at the largest, stitch range from 16,395 up to 43,311. Nine colour regions total, and digitising tools sequenced the ear fill so the outer dusty pink stitches first and then the inner ear fills on top without any overlap pulling. Density is at 973, which is on the lower end, so this one runs well on lighter fabrics without over-stiffening the ground. Pop mid-weight cutaway behind on knit fabrics and onesies, the ear circles have satin outlines that need the fabric held flat or youll get a wobbly edge. Dont skip the cutaway on a jersey onesie, theres too much stretch in the knit to hold the satin outline clean otherwise. Add topping on any fluffy fleece, the fill sections will sink without it. Stitch the eye highlights last in the sequence and the white dot stays crisp.

Last spring a customer stitched the 4-inch size onto a blush pink onesie and the dove grey body against the blush ground looked really soft, the colours were close enough in warmth that the mouse appeared lit from the front. Blush onesies are the most popular pairing I see for this design. Pair the 2.78-inch file with a 5-inch version for a two-size set on a baby blanket corner and main panel. It also works on pale grey and off-white fabrics where the dusty pink ears become the main colour accent, Pop it on a nursery pillow at 5 inches and the ear proportion reads well even from across the room.

All 9 colour regions with full ear stitching and fur detale.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Baby onesie front panel in blush or pale greyBlush pink onesie at 4 inches centred on the chest is the most common placement, the dove grey body reads clearly.
  • Baby blanket corner or panel placementBaby blanket at 3 inches in a corner with a 5-inch version centred on the panel makes a coordinated two-size set.
  • Nursery pillow or cushion coverA nursery pillow at 5 inches centred gives enough scale for the ear proportion to read well from a crib.
  • Toddler tee chest placementToddler tee at 3-4 inches on the chest fits below the neckline without running into the sleeve seam.
  • Small baby shower gift bagBaby shower gift bag at 2.78-3 inches on the front panel reads clearly on white or pastel ground fabric.
  • Kids room framed hoop artFramed at 7-in build the 5-inch version centres cleanly with the ear tops near the hoop edge.
  • Quilting block for a baby quiltA quilting square at 4 inches sits within a standard 6-inch quilt block with space for the surrounding fabric.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
