Baby otter mid-splash, paws up, looking suprised by its own water moment. The design centres on that rounded kawaii silhouette, big head, tiny body, oversized eyes with those small glossy highlight points that give it the cartoon-alive look. Water droplets radiate outward from the splash base in loose teardrop shapes, so there is genuine movement in the composition instead of a static portrait. The otter fur uses overlapping directional satin across the brown body and cream belly area, which creates that soft short-fur texture instead of a flat colour block. Mapped this in professional digitising software, 10 colour changes, and the sequencing runs body fills before the fine eye detail so nothing gets buried under later stitching.
Sizes run from 3 inches wide on the small end up to 6.42 inches, taller than wide because of the splash height, reaching 7.49 inches tall at the largest. Stitch counts open at 20,151 and climb to 51,726 at the biggest size, density at 1,076. A customer who does custom kids swim bags emailed me last month saying she ran a 4-inch piece onto a mesh pool bag and it came out exactly as she hoped, bright and clear even on the mesh surface. Thats the kind of project where the 10 colour build really justifies itself.
Hoop a cutaway stabiliser under cotton terry or jersey so the density doesnt pull the knit. Use wash-away film on top of waffle towel or loop-pile fabric before the eye details stitch, the fine white dots disappear into pile texture without it. Stick to light or pastel backgrounds, white, mint, or powder blue so the warm brown otter reads clearly without fighting a dark base. Avoid placing on stretchy ribbing without a backing that matches the fabric stretch direction. Email me if theres any issue with the file and Ill get it fixed right away.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
