Heres the baby star with rainbow, full kawaii energy. A smiling yellow star sits up top with a tiny pink bow tilted on its head and a peach pink pacifier in its mouth. Below it a pastel rainbow arches across two soft white clouds, and lil scatter stars in pink, yellow and grey float around the edges.
The rainbow stripes are stacked in proper nursery colours, peach pink up top then dusty pink, cream yellow, soft sage green and powder blue at the bottom. Each stripe carries tiny white stitch highlights running through it for that hand-painted shimmer feel. Clouds are white with light blue shading so they actually look puffy.
Theres a soft motion line behind the star like its just zipped across the sky, which is the kinda cute detail that sells the whole piece. 11 thread colours total, alot for one design but every shade does real work and you cant skip any without losing the dreamy look.
I made this one for the nursery and baby shower crowd. Last summer a customer wrote me she stitched 7 onesies for a 1st birthday party and the rainbow pastels carried beautifully on white cotton. New mums keep messaging asking for stuff that reads gender neutral and works on baby blankets, bibs, swaddle corners, all of that.
Stitch on white or cream cotton for the cleanest pastel read. Soft pink fabric works for a girls room. Use a no-show mesh stabiliser on light woven fabric so nothing shadows through the front. Skip patterned muslin, the colour stack wants a calm background. The 5x7 size lands best on a cot blanket panel, the 4 inch fits a bib chest cleanly.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Baby cot blankets and crib quiltsOn a soft white minky cot blanket the rainbow stretches across one corner and the star peeks above it.
- Newborn bibs and burp clothsSized down to 3.5 inches the design fits a bib chest panel with the rainbow visible above the food zone.
- Baby shower gift totesStitched on a canvas tote it makes a sweet baby shower gift bag, the kind that gets reused for nursery storage.
- Nursery wall art hoopsHooped in an 8 inch wooden frame this becomes proper nursery wall art with no extra finishing needed.
- 1st birthday tshirts and onesiesOnesies for a 1st birthday photo shoot get really sweet with this on the chest and a name underneath.
- Swaddle blanket corner detailTucked into the corner of a muslin swaddle the design fades nicely against the soft texture.
- Baby announcement frame insertsIn a 5x7 frame with the babys name and birth date stitched below this becomes a proper keepsake gift.
- Christening and baptism keepsakesOn a white christening blanket the pastel colours stay tasteful and the kawaii star adds personality.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
