This one comes up every year without fail, I get messages in late summer from mums asking if I have a 'first halloween' design for their lil one. And honestly Ive had this file ready for a bunch of seasons now because the demand is so consistent. Its 13,643 stitches in five colours, digitised with my main digitising tool at a density of 226, so its not overly dense, which actually works in your favour on baby fabric because it doesnt pull or pucker as much on lighter materials.
The design sits at 3.51" wide by 2.67" tall, which is just right for a onesie chest or a bib front. Use no-show mesh on any stretch fabric and run a layer of topping over the surface if youre stitching on french terry or a fluffy cotton knit. Stitch it on a 0-3 month onesie in white 100% cotton for the sharpest result, the five colours include orange, black and white, which read clearly against any pale background. The satin areas in the lettering have clean directional underlay built in, so dont skip the stabiliser step or the fill will look uneven.
Pop it on a matching bib and onesie set for a coordinated halloween baby gift. One customer last october ordered three sets, onesie, bib, and a little cap, and said her whole family cried at how cute the photos came out. I get notes like that every halloween and it genuinely never gets old.
Text a chat note if something goes wrong with the file and I'll sort it out for you right away.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Baby onesie first halloweenNewborn onesie for a first halloween photo shoot, parents order this the moment they realise the due date is october.
- Halloween bib for newbornsWhite terry cloth bib in a matching set with the onesie, the ghost and pumpkin accents read across both pieces as a coordinated outfit.
- Baby halloween photo outfitBaby shower gift for someone with a late-september or october due date, stitch on a 0-3 month onesie and wrap it as a reveal gift.
- Infant gift set embroideryToddler halloween tee for a 12-18 month who has graduated past onesies but is having a second first halloween of their own.
- Toddler halloween shirtBaby receiving blanket corner for a keepsake piece, stitch on flannel or cotton muslin and add the birth date below the design.
- Baby shower halloween giftInfant halloween bib to complete the costume look without a full outfit change at the party, keeps the pumpkin clean all evening.
- Halloween keepsake blanket cornerGrandparent gift idea, my sister ordered three sets of these to give to the grandparents as framed pieces after the halloween photo.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
