Pulled this together for teacher gift totes and first-day-of-school projects. Its a wide horizontal scatter composition, kinda like someone tipped a pencil case out onto a desk and you just stitched the whole lot. You get a globe, a red apple, a yellow ruler, a sand-coloured notebook, sky blue pencils, and a bunch of crayons all piled together in a loose group. Flat block satin areas with black outline column stitching around each shape, 12 colours total.

my embroidery software mapped the 12-colour sequencing cleanly so you arent doing really excessive thread swaps between every lil piece. 11 colour changes across the whole file, density sitting at 914 so the satin areas on the apple and globe stay smooth without distorting the fabric. The smallest hoop starts at 3.5 inches wide and 2.42 inches tall which fits a shirt pocket. The largest runs to 7.5 in wide and 5.18 in tall, which is the one most customers hoop onto a kraft canvas tote front.

One customer ordered the 5-inch size for a set of teacher appreciation totes she was customising for her kids school. She used scarlet thread for the apple, butter yellow for the ruler, and sky blue for the globe and said the outlines on the black bobbin side were kinda just as clean as the top. Thats a good sign the underlay was doing its job. Use cutaway stabiliser for tote bags, skip the topping unless youre digitising onto a towel weave.

Add it to a tote for a teacher, a backpack panel, a pencil case, a lunch bag, or a classroom cushion. The horizontal layout works well as a name-drop location so you can add a name block below it.

Run through your file when you get it and Reach out if anything needs adjusting.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Stitched on a kraft canvas tote as a teacher appreciation giftThe 6-inch size centres well on a standard canvas tote front with room for a name line below
  • Hooped onto a backpack front panel for a first-day-of-school keepsakeBack with firm cutaway and use the 4-inch size so it doesnt crowd the backpack zipper panel
  • Used on a kids lunch bag with a name added below the designThe 5-inch version sits well centred on a standard lunch bag front above the zip
  • Applied to a classroom cushion for a reading cornerUse medium cutaway stabiliser on cushion fabric and press well after stitching
  • Embroidered onto a pencil case front for a personalised school giftThe small 3.5-inch size fits a pencil case front panel without any edge crowding
  • Stitched on a cotton shirt pocket as a fun back-to-school accentThe smallest size stitches into a shirt breast pocket area cleanly on cotton with tearaway backing
  • Used on a quilted wall banner for a classroom displayUse the 7-inch size on a 9x12 inch fabric banner panel, back with heavyweight stabiliser

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
