The barista gnome is kinda just the gnome design for every coffee lover I know. This lil round fella is wearing the tallest pointy hat and holding a massive steaming cup in both hands like its the most important thing in his life. The hat takes up about half the vertical space in the design and thats what makes it so instantly recognisable even at small sizes.

Six colours to work through: deep burgundy for the hat, cream for the beard and body, two different browns for the coffee cup and base, plus a lighter tone for the steam curl at the top. The digitising on the beard is done with a tight satin fill using a slight angle so the stitches give it a fluffy texture. Stitch count goes up to 52,825 on the big sizes so you're gonna want a decent cutaway stabiliser, especially on terry cloth towels.

I've been customising a lot of coffee shop aprons with this one lately. A customer last month ordered it for a batch of kitchen towels she was making as christmas gifts, really liked how it came out on cream cotton waffle fabric. Said the gnome looked like he belonged in a cosy cafe window.

Comes in 9 sizes from 3.5 to 7-in baseline max. Best on cotton canvas, linen kitchen towels or denim aprons. Pop it on a plain mug mat or oven mitt for an easy gift. Stitch the 5-in design on a tea towel and it fits perfectly without taking over the whole fabric.

Reach out if you hit a file issue and I'll get it sorted quickly.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
