Heres a little dog absolutely loving winter and its completely charming. Sitting upright in the snow, scarf wrapped around its neck, snowflakes drifting down. The dog has that happy open-mouth expression like its genuinely excited to be cold outside. Two colours keep it clean. Cream-white body, burgundy red scarf. Thats it and it works.
Style is closer to a greeting card illustration than a detailed portrait. Rounded lines, soft fill areas, no crazy detail that'll get lost at small sizes. I made this one specifically so it would still read clearly at the 4.55-inch width. And theres alot of negative space in the snow scene which honestly helps when stitching on busier fabrics.
Stitch counts go from about 12,938 on from the petite 3 up to 21,645 on the 7.5 wide reach version. Two-colour registration is simple. Hoop the cream fleece or white cotton first and youre done before the coffee goes cold. I get messages every december from people who want a cozy dog design that doesnt look overdone, and this one keeps coming up.
Add it to a navy or forest green background and the red scarf just pops. Charcoal grey fleece is also really nice here. Skip really pale pastels because the cream dog body can disappear against light colours without careful thread contrast. Drop firm cutaway stretch fleece, tear-away works fine on woven cotton or linen.
Pop the 5-inch face on christmas stocking front or hoop the 7.5-inch on a canvas tote. And theres a small snowflake detail near the dogs paws that rewards a good underlay run. Bug me on chat if something stitches funny.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
