Two-tier layout, so theres a lot going on but it all holds together. 'Basketball' curves across the top in that big flowing cursive script with thick black satin letters that have a slight dimensional look. Then 'MOM' sits underneath in wide blocky varsity capitals with heavy outlines and a dense fill pattern inside each letter. And where the O should be is a full basketball, done in brown and orange with the curved seam lines stitched in. Its the kind of swap that feels obvious once you see it but somebody had to think of it first.
Three colour stops: brown for the ball base, orange for the panels, black for everything else. The machine runs the ball colours first then finishes with all the black, so it's two thread changes and done. At the 6-inch width the MOM letters are wide enough that the fill texture really shows and the basketball detail reads clearly at a glance from a few feet away, which is what you want on bleacher seating or sideline merch. Four sizes total, 5 through 8 inches tall.
Go with black, white, grey or navy fabric. Dont put it on orange because the ball panels disappear against it. The cursive Basketball script on a black hoodie front with those big varsity letters below is a strong combination. People have been buying it steadily for school fundraisers, spirit weeks and end-of-season team-parent gifts since I first listed it last winter, and its one I'm always restocking thread for.
Back this with a stable woven cutaway stabiliser because the dense fill on the varsity letters builds up tension across the fabric. Skip tearaway here or the bottom tier will pucker. Hoop fresh cutaway for each item and you wont get registration drift between the two tiers. At 28k stitches on the largest size, check the first run before you do a full batch.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
