So this one took me abit longer to get right than I expected. The idea is four bats arranged so their wings form a heart shape, and its the kind of thing thats clever once you see it but kinda subtle at first glance.

Im using satin columns for the main wing spans with a directional underlay underneath, so the black thread catches light differently depending on which way youre hooping it. The gothic diamond and star fills in the centre are tight density work at around 414 spi, meaning youll want a cutaway stabiliser underneath rather than tearaway. The design runs from 2.89 inches wide up to 6.17 inches, and stitch counts go from 9,081 at the smallest all the way to 19,166 at the largest. One colour the whole way through, no thread changes, 79 trims. And the file came out of industry tools so the satin edges are clean.

One customer grabbed the 4-inch hoop size and stitched it on a charcoal canvas bag last october. Said the black-on-black looked almost invisible until the light hit it and then it popped. I realy liked that idea. Best results on black, navy, or dark grey fabric where the thread sheen does the work. Use a topping on terry or fleece to keep those fine star details from sinking into the pile. Stitch on a dark sweatshirt if you want the gothic vibe. Skip pale fabric if you want maximum drama. Pop it on a tote or pillow and it reads really differently depending on the light.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
