The flamingo here is standing upright with a little flower crown sitting on top of its head, which is the small detail most customers notice first when they stitch it out. The body fill is a solid hot pink satin, tight and smooth. Around the lettering on the left there are hibiscus flowers and small round sequin-style dots that give the whole thing a tropical party energy without being overly busy.
3 thread colours, so 3 stops during the run. Stitch count tops out at 21,128 at the 5.7-inch size. Its not overly dense at 527 stitches per cm and most machines handle it without complaint. The script lettering in 'flamazing' has some long swash strokes, so keep your tension consistent through those sections and dont rush them.
Run this on a medium cutaway for stretch fabrics and a tearaway for woven items like totes or denim. Use a water-soluble topper if youre stitching on a textured fabric to keep those hibiscus petal edges from sinking into the weave. Pick from 5 sizes between 2.5 and 5.7 inches wide.
I get messages about this one every summer, people using it on beach totes, pool bags, pouches, all sorts. Last July a customer sent me a photo of 8 matching totes she made for a girls trip. That was a good morning to wake up to. Works on alot of different surfaces.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Embroidered on a tropical-themed beach bag for a summer giftCanvas beach bags take all 5 sizes well; the 4 to 5 inch size sits great on the front panel without a topper.
- Stitched on a pink t-shirt as a fun flamingo gift for a best friendOn a knit t-shirt, back with a cutaway and use a water-soluble topper to keep the hibiscus edges crisp.
- Added to a makeup pouch or pencil case with a quirky tropical themeMakeup pouches in vinyl or waxed canvas only need a tearaway; go with the 3-inch size for a tidy fit.
- Placed on a pool towel for a personalized summer accessoryTerry towels need a water-soluble topper and a stabiliser underneath; hoop firmly to avoid shifting on the loop surface.
- Used on a tote bag for a flamingo-loving customer's everyday carryCanvas totes stitch cleanly at any size; no topper needed on tight-weave canvas.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
