Honestly what I like most about this one is how it avoids looking like every other rainbow out there. Its got four satin arches in navy, mustard gold, dusty rose and sage green, with those little teardrop shapes running along the outer edge like a fringe border, and a tiny heart tucked right at the base of the inner arch. The "Be Happy" script underneath is big and bold in the same navy, and there are small four-pointed star sparkles scattered around the whole thing. Kinda just feels warm without being over the top.

At 5 sizes from just over 3 inches up to nearly 7 inches wide, theres a lot of flexibility here. I use the larger size on fleece blankets a fair bit, and that 6.68 inch version sits really nicely centred on a throw, and the density at 555 lines per inch means the tatami fill reads crisply even on looped terry fabric. The stitch counts run up to around 27,794 on the biggest size, so Hoop your stabiliser properly and dont skimp on the underlay or those satin arches will pucker.

A woman who makes personalised gifts for new babies ordered 3 colour variants of this last month, and I thought that was a genuinely smart call. Dusty rose on a cream cotton onesie looks really lovely. For stretchy jersey, Use a cutaway stabiliser underneath and a water-soluble topping on top if the knit has much texture to it. Try the mid-size on a canvas book bag or a denim shirt pocket, the directional satin stitches catch light really well on woven fabrics.

Pop this on linen cushion covers and it photographs like a dream for craft-fair tables. Skip fusible backing on thin cotton voile or the hand of the fabric goes stiff. Add a jump stitch between the outer arch and the sparkle elements if your machine needs a bit of help. Most machines handle it fine but its worth checking the preview first. Nine sizes, sorry, 5 sizes. I keep mixing that up with our other designs.

Let me know if you cant get the colours to match mine.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Baby onesieMy favourite spot for this one is a cream cotton onesie, the dusty rose arch really pops against ivory.
  • Nursery wall hoopNeeds a cutaway on stretchy fabrics, but on hooped linen the arches stay flat and crisp.
  • Kids denim jacketCentre it on the back yoke of a kids denim jacket for a boho-chic look that holds up through washing.
  • Canvas tote bagThe 3-inch version sits right on a canvas tote front pocket without crowding the handles.
  • Fleece blanketAt the 6.68 inch width the design fills a fleece throw blanket panel really evenly.
  • Linen cushion coverPairs well with a plain sage green cover, the navy script contrasts crisply on light linen.
  • Terry cloth bibStitch the smallest size on a terry bib and use a water-soluble topping so the loops dont break through.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
